About
After tinkering with the idea of creating a blog for a few months I stumbled across the domain name by accident. That was the trigger I needed to get going and publicly enter the biggest souk on the face of the planet. Thus badsoda was born.
About the site
The original site was launched in August 2002 and sported a very slick DHTML gui based on the genLIB library. Quickly following that a second version was put together making the posting - and later still the image gallery - management processes much easier. In April 2008, after getting a few good years out of the second version of the site I decided to switch to Movable Type WordPress. Then in February 2009 the site changed hosts and found a new home at NearlyFreeSpeech.net.
But enough said about the container, what about the content? Would you believe it. I’ve never really thought about defining my audience for the site and writing to satisfy it. You would think that after more than half a decade one would learn. Alas, I’m stubborn so I guess you’re now left with a wide variety of topics ranging from the totally mundane to the utterly geeky stuff.
About the author
My footprint on the web is already large enough without me spreading it all out once more on this page. If you really want to know more about me, it’s easy enough to do through the various services I’m a dweller of (hint, hint, wink, wink). Suffice it to say that I’m a PMP, living and working in the capital of Euope. else. My favourite quotes are: “this offends my sense of aesthetics”, “less is only more when more is no good”, “a truly lazy person does things right the first time” and “tinkering is its own purpose”.
Enjoy the site. If you find something interesting do let me know.
